It is a common expression among us, adults that we sometimes envy children for the fact that their lives are simple, their minds are uncomplicated and they are basically worry-free. Well, I am one of those who are easily rattled by circumstances around me.
Being a parent, it is easy for me to get caught up in the daily hustles and chaos of trying to do everything. Keeping a home, tending to the kids and working on goals, I sometimes find myself taking things too seriously that I end up spiraling down in bouts of disappointment and negativity.
When I came across this Bible verse ( Philippians 4:8) the other day, I was instantly uplifted. I was reminded that even though days are not always problem -free , it is encouraging to think that life is as simple as seeing the beauty in every situation and always looking at the brighter side of things.
So then I must not forget:
I am surrounded by beautiful things, my family.
What I do is beautiful. Dreams are beautiful. So is hope. So are goals.
We can’t guarantee that all days are smooth sailing, but we can always look around and see good.
Happy Thursday everyone, keep doing what is beautiful and lovely!
