These are what’s left after a baking fail.
You see, I don’t want to eat a big sized caked all by myself so I was looking to bake something as cute as this
photo from http://Bostonsweetieblog.blogspot.ca |
by using a tin can for small batch baking.
But I ended up getting these.
The 5 mini cupcakes which survived unlike the supposedly main entree on the tin can |
And eating a mini plate of uncooked batter.
Lessons learned?
*When baking using 14 Oz tin cans, you might have to end up baking it a little longer or else you will get the bottom half of the batter uncooked.
*Use something longer than a toothpick to test the cake. Or else your toothpick wont reach the very bottom of the can and you wont realize that the bottom half is uncooked.
*Only fill a tin can half full of batter to get all of it cooked in the assigned time.
*When all else fails, you can always make mini .cupcakes from excess batter.
*Uncooked batter tastes good too.
( I almost changed the title of this post to uncooked bottom half batter, oh well).

get a muffin/cupcake pan next time. it’s nice to invest in baking tools especially if you want to continue doing this. it would also be easier for you to cook as well and walang masasayang na batter 🙂

First time I heard of someone using tin cans to bake a cake. 🙂 At least you learned a lot of lessons so this batch was not really a total failure at all. 😀
