Family Happenings
Last Weekend Bonding with my Papa. We took my kids to an indoor playground. We ordered dinner later in the evening, my papa stayed the night and then we had lunch out the following day. My father loves spending time with his grandchildren, and I love spending time with him. My father is such a sweet, quiet soul and I think I mainly got that from him as well. Anyways, last weekend with him was pure gold and I wish for many, many more of that.

Lazy Mornings and Afternoons with my Kids. I rarely have slow days these days. In between driving them to and from school, working, and cooking meals, sitting around, and doing nothing basically comes later in the day, specifically before bed. Now some magical moments sneaks in from time to time when we can all just hang out and be lazy. They are not on their gadgets and I am not working, Happy hours!

Toboggan. We drove to a park with hills and went sledding. My kids, me, and my husband were all happy kids with tired legs and cold noses. But nevertheless, it was fun, fun! My 1-year-old slid on his own more than a couple of times like it’s nobody’s business!

My Little Ball of Energy This is one active, radiant little boy. I cannot keep up š

Food
Starbucks Pastries. We were gifted a $50 Starbucks gift card and aside from my husband’s coffee, we spent it all on their pastries! My kids loved the cookies. They gobbled cake pops and I enjoyed the Lemon loaf, the chocolate croissant (which reminds me that I need to make homemade soon!), the banana loaf, and the cream cheese danish something…Everything was pure heaven! Oh and we ordered pistachio latte and my girls think they now have a new fave.

Munch It Pastries A bakeshop adjacent to my walk-in clinic, I had to really go in and check it out. I tried the strawberry cheesecake and the black forest cake. It is so cute because they are tiny and fancy. When me and daughter took the first bite, we are blown away. I am definitely coming back!

Nuts To You Organic Nut Butters and Anita’s Organic Mill. I won a giveaway! I feel like I am a lucky person when it comes to online contests and giveaways. Do you know that a few years ago, I won a thousand dollars, a $100 cineplex gift card and a box full of baby goodies from Gerber, for posting a cute photo of my second child? yes, yes. When the box of prizes arrived, me and my eldest shrieked for joy! This time I won jars of nut butters from Nuts To You Butter and they are so good. I use them in my smoothies and toasts and I plan on baking with them as soon as I find a window of time. Together in this giveaway are flours from Anita’s Organic which are on the way as I write this. I am so excited!
Personal
The Great Meditation Youtube Channel. While I love the meditation from my yoga app FWFG, discovering The Great Meditation on Youtube is a game-changer. I look forward to my morning meditation more than ever. I love the voice, the music, and the message each mediation delivers. I pick a new one each morning, and I am instantly calmer, centered and perked up for the day.
Book: The Amazing Power of Deliberate Intent. I listen to Abraham Hicks podcasts in the car when I drive my girls. I also have read one of their books- Ask and it is Given. This book is such a good reinforcement of all their teachings and I have to agree that Esther and Abraham Hicks are one of the greatest teachers of the Law of Attraction.
Skin Care
I do not have perfect skin. I have.. maybe warts. I have white bumps, pimple scars, uneven tone. I have made peace with them all. But one thing that is giving me joy lately is skincare. It is not about trying to change the nature of my skin, flaws and all, but I love the idea that I can actually care for what I do have and it feels amazing.
I am new to layering skincare and I have started trying things for the first time. I have never really spent more than $50 on a skincare product but I am now trying things that are not crazy expensive but are definitely a step up from what used to spend. The results? I am happy with my skin. I am confident without makeup and I love the look and feel of my skin texture. Skincare gives me pure joy and it is my current obsession.
Peter Thomas Roth Amino Acids Exfoliating Peel Pads. I love how my skin feels right after applying this. It looks plump, dewy and moisturized. I love the feel and look of my face the next morning. This one has changed the texture of my skin noticeably.
Josie Maran Organic Argan Oil. I pat this on as a moisturizer, as a final step in the evening. This one gets rid of my scaly dry skin overnight. It is amazing.
The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% This has noticeably made my skin brighter. I love how it slightly stings after application. A sure sign it works!
The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid I am on my third bottle because I use it morning and night. Again, this one is another game-changer for my skin. It moisturizes and plumps my skin after application.
The Ordinary 0.5 Retinol I was scared to try it first because this seems to me like a next-level skincare treatment. But it is actually non-irritating and I notice a smoother skin tone since I started using this one.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel with SPF 25 This one is a daily go-to spf moisturizer that does not leave me greasy or sticky. I am still on the lookout for a tinted SPF but this one s great for non-make-up days. If I want a more polished look, I use IT Cosmetics CC Cream.
And that’s my current Joy List. I would love to see what is yours. You can always message me, or leave a comment. I love it when you send me pics of your baked goods as well! Until next time, my friends!
