A new place, a new favorite treat, afternoon walks, and an ever-active household of growing kids! Welcome to another Thursday Thoughts.
A New Place. Firstly, we moved. We now live in a lovely apartment as a stop before moving into our yet-to-be-built house. We are loving the serene area, the clean apartment, and the joy of having this new adventure. I wrote about our move in this post in my other blog.
A New Favorite Treat. And Little Viet is the name. This super awesome Milk tea place is our current favorite. At the start of the spring, we have it almost every weekend, if not 3 times a week. If I can have it every day, I would. That is how much I love it. My favorite is called Okinawa Brown Sugar. Man, oh, man. I cannot remember when was the last time I was addicted to a treat that is not a baked good.
Afternoon Walks. One of the things that I love about our apartment is that it is an area where there are beautiful spaces where we can walk during the afternoon. After we are done work, we will all head out to a nearby community where there is not much traffic passing by. There is also a charming little playground where my kids can hang out and play. I love this little bonding time when the kids are not in their gadgets and we, parents are not occupied.
Our Ever Active Little Kids. It has been 9 months since I gave birth to our youngest. I can say that I have fully recovered physically, emotionally, and all. My body has started to resume the habit of waking up early. This baby season is now starting to integrate into my working life, and I think I pretty much have an effective routine of work-mommy balance. The baby is napping at predictable times, so I plan my work around that.
But still, I cannot keep up with how my 2 older children are growing. They are getting active each day. They eat so much more, and are always hungry! I think they have been having a growth spurt for several months now. My boy too cannot be contained in one space anymore. He crawls everywhere- will hoist himself up in the toilet if unsupervised. He is all over the house!
One thing that is crucial as a mom is the span of time between my waking up, and their waking up. Man, I have to wake up way early if I want to accomplish anything nourishing for myself. If not, They. Will. Eat. Me. ALive. Do you relate mamas? I know you do. I wrote about my morning routine over at Oh Little Joys. I believe in morning routines. I believe in tending to myself first. Amen. See you next time 🙂
That’s awesome information and great pictures. Thanks for sharing and love your site
