Mamon Recipe Development: First Trial

Ummm, those ones up there, they are not kababayans.

Please, They are mamon. As the title says so.
I can’t blame you though. They seem to be a hybrid of kababayan and mamon.

Okay, before I defend myself (and my baking ) further, Let me let you in on a little dream of mine.
( Instrumental music starts)
Someday, I will have a perfect mamon recipe, soft, fluffy and delicate. Someday, I will offer people my mamon gift baskets, where these goodies are arranged neatly in a wooden basket, complete with gift tags and all. People will bring them to house parties, group potlucks, corporate assemblies, and even have  them as party favors.

That is a dream that I hope to realize someday.

And today is one step of a high ladder.

Yes, we are talking about a business kind of thing. And I am zero -business knowledge kind of person. We’ll see how will that work.

( Instrumental music abruptly stops here)

But as long as I am having fun and enjoying the process, it does not matter what the outcome is. I would be satisfied that I dreamt and I tried.

Yet today is just the first step. This is my first recipe development of a mamon .

And  my dreamy, delicate, fluffy and soft mamon looks like a kababayan, and  perfection seems to be thousands of steps ahead yet.

Oh well , then. This leads me to develop trial recipe # 2. And maybe that time we will look pretty much like a mamon.

I really need to make that perfect mamon. Because I think my city needs one.

And that will come from our kitchen.

I know, very boastful. ( wink)

Meanwhile, I  must unwind and forget about today’s kababayan.
Here is my perfect retreat:

Till next trial folks!

My kids like mamon and I would like to learn how to make this product as well. Just keep on trying and you’ll perfect this mamon in time.
