As with any household with school kids, the days here are full and fast. It pretty much starts with gentle (I try) nudging to wake the girls up. Early breakfasts, school lunches, dinner for starving after-school girls, then again, nudging them to do the nightly routine before bedtime.
But not all is haste, for amidst the busyness of days, working full time on two blogs, house chores and all, I still get short naps almost every day. Remember, I have a toddler š When I tuck him for his afternoon naps, I sneak in 10-20 minutes of shut-eye.
So that and many other things make up The Joy List today.

I Love How the Sun Shines Beautifully in the Bedroom in the Morning. It is like a gentle reminder each day for me to make the bed š The sun is glorious and it showcases many different colors in the sky as the morning progresses. It never fails to ground me.

Music in the Morning. I always forget how music changes the overall mood of the moment. I pretty much put on a favorite playlist every chance I can. The other day, I thought of shaking things up and played my old boyband favorites while prepping breakfast and school lunches.
I did not realize how much I miss old music, and it put me in a gleeful mood.

School Bus Chronicles. School bus the past week is interesting. Sometimes unavailable, often times late. I guess it has something to do with a shortage of bus drivers across Canada. So we wait long times outside. Me, my little boy and my school girls hang out each morning for a mini-bonding time.
Each time I get overwhelmed with all the tasks and to-do lists, and with all the aspirations I have for my business, I remind myself why I started to create this kind of life in the first place. I wanted to be at home with my kids.
I wanted to work for myself so I get to decide how I spend my time and be with my family for longer times. And it is happening now. I get to drive them to the bus stop, wait with them without any hurry.
I get to drive them straight to school if needed. I get to play with my youngest on the school playground on any weekday. I get to.
And before my mind starts to complain or freak out about the fullness of my days, I remind myself of the things I get to do, and instantly I become grateful.

Lug Boots for Fall Season. You know how when you get pregnant, and become a mom, your sense of personal style just kind of hangs somewhere until you don’t know how to dress up anymore?
I always have loved dressing up. When I become a mom, not to mention breastfeeding too, I had to majorly adapt my style to fit any breastfeeding occasion. Now I kind of forgot what style actually is my own. You just forget. Motherhood changes us, doesn’t it?
But now I am slowly finding myself again, the style that speaks to me, and trying something new. I am loving this Chelsea Lug Boots I recently purchased. It is heels but mom- comfy. Stylish and functional at the same time.
My New Electric Wax Melter. This is a convenient, long-lasting and maintenance-free way to add a subtle fragrance to your home. While I love soya candles and will never give them up, an electric wax melter is my new go-to for that house scent that just lingers lightly in the background.

I am using these Vanilla Cream Soya Dots from Skore Candle and boy oh boy do I love it. It lasts for days too so it’s economical.

Our Little Boy Turned Two! The thought and sight of him growing each day is bittersweet. I love having this sweet, stubborn little man beside me. He keeps me busy, he drives me crazy but he paints my world all beautiful colors each day. I love you, my little man!
