What Lights You Up?
Hello and how have you all been? It has been a long, long while since my last Thursday Thoughts and It seems that each time I post one, I always say that.
It is true though, and this one post is long overdue. I may sound like a broken record to make an excuse: the usual busyness of life.. and such and such. But. Maybe, let me just say, my vision of the content bucket of my blog seems to change from time to time.
One thing I figured is that, at the end of the day, it would serve me better if this site is a direct reflection of myself. And that seemed to end all of my second guessing. That puts and end to my hesitation of writing another Thursday Thoughts post, or another Joy List Post. Because for the longest while I have been hesitant to continue these series because , in my analytic mind, they don’t contribute to the growth of the blog. But…each time I take a step back and look at my blog from afar.. I realize that without these posts..this blog is not me.
And this leads me to my Thought this week: What can you adapt and change in your daily life so that it is a direct reflection of you?
My favorite time time in the morning is when I meditate using Great Meditation videos. One time, a very inspiring phrase resonated with me so much. “May each choice you make be a choice that lights you up.“- Great Meditation.
To me, that is such a beautiful thing. What if life is not really that complicated as it seems? What if, the only purpose, even just for a day, is to align to the things that brings us the most joy? Is it music in the morning? Is it saying No more often?
What if we decide to stop and rest because our body needs to? What if we decide to go after that which we want despite of what others think?
I deeply believe that guidance can always be found from within. And for the longest time, I have been missing mine because I am looking so much at what others are doing. But if you come to think of it, it is only ourselves that has the perfect knowing of what we need.
So, what little choices can you make today? And what things will you do today so as to answer to that one person that needs you, too? You. I hope you have an amazing rest of the week. And I will “see” you next time.
With love,
Sanna
