This week, I finished baking, cooking, shooting photos and writing for two recipes for the blog. Not to mention, I made several baking fails which ate up a lot of my time.
Last week, it was all about baptism preparations for our baby. Squeeze in some major packing for a camping trip during the weekend and my week was the perfect picture of busy.
Today, I can finally say that I am free of any real urgent task. You know at at the end of it all, great is the fulfillment that comes from achieving things and finishing tasks around the house (says every mother I know.) It is almost comparable to receiving an award. For me, at least.
Then Thursday came. My friend, Richelle, picked my eldest daughter up to hang out with her this morning. It is funny, that while I yearn for some moments of peace from my daughter so I can do the chores around the house, I start to miss her from the very minute she said goodbye and walked out of our door.
It is quiet here. And I miss that chatty little girl of mine.
{Oh wait.. What did I hear? some little groans?}
Ooooh, it is my baby.
I still have one little wee girl to take care of today.
At least, I still have a ( cuuute) company.
And maybe, because it is freedom day and I don’t have much to do today, I still can squeeze in some time to organize the topsy -turvy, war-laden pots and pans in our kitchen cabinet. Yes, that is a good plan.
Oh, also, the carpet in the stairway is collecting little stones and dust. I can clean that up too. That is a good plan. I guess I better move now before the frozen fish in the sink is thawed and I have to start cooking.
But first let me pick up the baby from the swing as she is starting to declare war.
So excuse me for a while.. I have to go.
I really thought it is freedom day today but then…..
