Bread pudding is such a wonderful way to use up leftover bread. In our case, we always have plenty of it because my Nanay works at a bakery. She brings home bags and bags of fresh bread to the point where we sometmes can’t keep up at consuming them.

Now that is no problem. A little fairy dust will turn old, almost stale bread into a delicious and creamy dessert or breakfast treat.

Yes, enter please. Double Chocolate Blueberry Bread Pudding.

It is such a comforting, homey kind of treat. The one that you want on a laid back kind of day with your coffee.

Pointers and Tips to Make Double Chocolate Blueberry Bread Pudding

  • If you use frozen blueberries, you do not need to thaw them.
  • If you’d rather bake the pudding at a later time, you can keep the assembled pudding in the fridge overnight and bake it the next day. Just cover it with plastic wrap.
  • Use a 9×13 baking dish or similar. I used an oval dish that is 13 inches long and 9 inches at the widest part.
  • You can use white sandwich bread, hamburger buns, hotdog buns, french bread loaves etcblu. I find that white bread is better for pudding than whole wheat ones.
