In this recipe we make use of blueberries to add a hint of freshness and two kinds of chocolate chips to add indulgence. Once you bite into this blueberry bread pudding, the bits of chocolate chips and berries along with the milky bread base is out of this world delicious yet the flavor is somethingvery familiar.

Double Chocolate Blueberry Bread Pudding
- In a mixing bowl whisk together milk, cream, eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla.
- In another mixing bowl, and you need a big one here, toss together and combine bread cubes, the chocolate chips, and the blueberries.
- Pour the liquid mixture over the bread cube mixture. Toss everything well to make sure the liquid is evenly distributed.Transfer to a 9 x13 baking dish or similar. Let this stand for one hour.
- Preheat oven to 350 F. bake the Blueberry Bread Pudding for 40-50 minutes, or until the top is golden.
Pointers and Tips to Make Double Chocolate Blueberry Bread Pudding
- If you use frozen blueberries, you do not need to thaw them.
- If you’d rather bake the pudding at a later time, you can keep the assembled pudding in the fridge overnight and bake it the next day. Just cover it with plastic wrap.
- Use a 9×13 baking dish or similar. I used an oval dish that is 13 inches long and 9 inches at the widest part.
- You can use white sandwich bread, hamburger buns, hotdog buns, french bread loaves etcblu. I find that white bread is better for pudding than whole wheat ones.

Double Chocolate Blueberry Bread Pudding
Ingredients
- 1 and 1/2 lbs bread cut into little cubes (1 and 1/2 to 3 inches)
- 2 cups blueberries fresh or frozen
- 1/4 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together milk, cream, eggs, salt , vanilla and sugar.
- In another large bowl toss and combine bread cubes, blueberries and chocolate chips. Pour the liquid mixture to the bowl of bread cubes mixture and toss everything so that the liquid is evenly distrubuted. Transfer and pour the entire mixture on a 9 x 13 baking dish or similar. I used an oval baking dish that is 13 inches long and 9 inches at the widest part. Let this stand for 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350 F. Bake the bread pudding for 40-50 minutes or until the top is golden.
