This is my easy and foolproof Homemade Pizza Dough recipe that I use for my Bacon Mushroom pizza, Italian Sausage White Pizza and many more! Just 5 ingredients, beginner-friendly and so soft and fluffy, this one is a must for homemade pizza nights!

Okay, pizza delivery is great! We do it every month or so for Friday movie nights and lazy and/or busy days. However, there is something so rewarding about making your own pizza at home! You get to make your custom flavors, choose your favorite toppings and of course, it is just so so fun!
So let’s make my homemade pizza dough recipe today, shall we? I love this so much and it is my go to. If you are looking to make your own pizza at home, or you are looking for a simple, foolproof and easy pizza dough, this is for you!

My Easy Pizza Dough Recipe
- 5 Basic Ingredients: all-purpose flour, active dry yeast, olive oil, salt and warm water.
- Simple and Easy. Comes together in minutes, it is ready to use when you are.
- Makes enough for two 12-ish inch rounds or 1 large rectangular pizza.

Let’s Make It!
- Proof the Yeast. In the bowl of a stand mixer, proof the yeast with warm water. Then stir in the salt and olive oil.
- Add the Flour. Stir the flour with a wooden spoon until the mixture gathers into a shaggy dough.
- Knead. Run the mixer using the dough hook attachment for about 3 minutes, or until the dough is stretchy, smooth, and is cleaning the sides of the bowl. Gather the dough into ball.
- Let the Dough Rise. Place it in a bowl and cover. Allow to rise for 1 hour at room temperature, or in the fridge overnight.
- Make Your Pizza! Your dough is ready for your pizza recipe!

Using Your Pizza Dough in a Recipe
- Pan Sizes. There are a number of ways you can use a homemade pizza dough. Pan wise, you can either use 2 round pans. Like I said earlier, this makes enough for 2 round 12-ish inch pizzas. Or use a rectangular pan to make one large rectangular pizza.
- Grease your pan lightly with vegetable oil. Use a light colored non-stick pan for best results. And don’t think you are confined to using a pizza pan, any baking pan (light colored, non-stick) will do.
- To Shape the Pizza Dough, you can either use a rolling pin or do what I usually do: I just toss and pat and lightly stretch the dough, allowing the weight of the dough to help me shape it as I toss.
- Roll or flatten the dough into about half an inch thickness. If the dough is retracting as you shape, allow it to rest for 5 minutes or so, and then try again.
